Band identity

This information is never hard-coded into the plugin: it lets the plugin be reused as-is for any band.

A short one-line subtitle shown under the band name — in particular in the press kit header.

Bold, italic, and lists — this same bio also appears in the "Press kit" tab, they're the same setting either way.

Used in particular on the press kit (dedicated tab).

Shown on the press kit. With VEFmusic Pro, also used as the default recipient if the press kit's contact form is enabled there (otherwise the site's admin email is used).

Band status (legal information)

VEFmusic doesn't sell anything and never issues invoices — this information is only a shared source, so you don't have to re-enter it if you ever install VEFmusic Pro (sale of tracks/albums/merch, which will reuse it automatically to build its invoices and purchase confirmation emails).

Uncheck if the band stays amateur (no sales planned) — the fields below will then remain optional.

May differ from the stage name (e.g. the name of the association or sole proprietorship).

Audio formats offered for sale

Formats

MP3 is recommended to stay enabled at all times: it's the only format universally playable on the buyer's side.

Once a track ends, automatically moves on to the next one in the same list — only after a visitor has themselves started a first track (never autoplay on page load). If shuffle is enabled on the block, the next track is chosen at random among those not yet played.

Applies to every Random Player block/module/widget on the site (Gutenberg, Divi 5, Elementor) — no per-block setting. On by default: starts on its own, muted until the visitor interacts with the page. Turn this off if you'd rather the visitor always start playback themselves.

Off by default — nothing is deleted unless you turn this on. When enabled, deleting the plugin from the "Plugins" screen (not simply deactivating it) permanently removes every track, album and concert, all plugin settings, and the audio files stored on the server — with no way to undo it. Leave this off if you might reinstall the plugin later and want to keep everything.

Copyright and playing music publicly

Before playing any music on this site — including tracks you wrote or composed yourself — check your legal obligations. Rules depend on the country, the type of use, the repertoire involved and, where applicable, related rights. This text is for information only and does not constitute legal advice.

Country pre-selected based on your site's language: États-Unis. If this isn't the right country, change it below then click Save — your choice will then be remembered.

The publisher of this plugin is not responsible for the consequences of playing music without the necessary authorizations, licenses or declarations.

The content of these texts (adding a country, editing) is managed directly in the plugin's includes/data/legal-notices.php file, not here — this screen only chooses which country to display.
