Pre-order and fund
A pre-order reserves something that does not exist yet; a crowdfunding campaign adds funding levels, and a reward is only delivered if its level is reached. In both cases the payment method is only charged if the goal is reached on the deadline.

Help us press the next record. Every level unlocked by the community adds something for everyone: a pressed vinyl, a bonus 7-inch single, a full-colour gatefold. A reward is only delivered if its level is reached on the deadline, otherwise only that reward is cancelled.

A product tied to a tier stays purchasable right now. If its tier isn't reached by the deadline, that product will simply not be charged to you — the rest of your preorder is never affected.

You are not charged now: your payment method (card or PayPal account) is saved and will only be charged if the funding goal is reached by 1 January 2027. If it isn't, nothing is charged. Delivery happens once the product is ready (digital or physical).
A preorder is registered separately from the shop cart: nothing here is added to your cart, and the items already in your cart are not affected.
Test mode — simulated payment (visible only in sandbox mode, never in production)
The charge is also simulated when the deadline is reached. An email address containing "fail" simulates a declined card.
